If the Quran doesn't mention the Dajjal, then why do we believe in it's concept?

I mean, how can be sure that there is even such thing. Not all hadiths can be trusted, it has been proven that some are not very accurate. Since the concept of the Dajjal hadn't come out until hundreds of years after Mohammeds death, why are muslims so sure that it will happen?
