Should Muslim women be "liberated" against their will?

I don't understand why people wish to "liberate" Muslim women when most Muslim women are against the idea? To many outsiders, Muslim women seem to have a case of Stockholm Syndrome, but if they are happy with that, then why would anyone else seek to "liberate" them?
