Should i give up on him? :(?

im 18 and i like a 25 year old, and before i started asking ques on here, everyone thought he liked me, and then when i read the feedback, i just felt so bad....cos i was so happy before and had my hopes up, but now i dont know, i still think he likes me and i like him, but should i just leave it ?
