Throwing away laptop. saving some hardware?

Most everything on a new laptop will be newer, bigger, better, faster than the old laptop so you probably won't want to use any of it anyway. If you keep the old one intact, maybe you could use it just for watching DVDs or turn it into a digital picture frame.
