What animal ate the heads on my chickens and left the body's?

I had some pet chickens in our goat pen. I checked in on them one day and their heads were gone and some of their bodies had been attempted to be dragged down a hole. After some surveillance I found out it was HUGE rats the size of a small dog!! They even attacked one of my baby goats!
