Why do Jews call themselves Liberals?

I am a Jewish guy and want to ask a question. How can a Jewish person proclaim themselves as a liberal if they own a BMW, shop only at uppper cl stores, etc.etc. etc. I thought being liberal is all about equality, fairness....
