Why is my phone not recieving texts?

i have a nokia 6500 and its worked perfectly until today..no texts are coming through but the ones i send to people they're recieving..and i get calls but not texts. whast going onn?? and my inbox isnt full cos i deleted lke 40 cos i thought that may be the problem
