How is burner pressure related to boiler pressure?

As a general rule, burner pressure remains fairly constant. If the load on the boiler increases and you need to make more steam to keep up, then the size of the burner diffuser is usually changed to a larger orifice to allow more oil to p through. More oil means more heat which means more steam. Although boiler pressure is also relatively constant, it too can change depending on conditions.
