Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes?

I have a bag of small red potatoes and thought of using them for dinner tonight with our steak. I made roasted red potatoes last night so I figured I can just use them all up tonight. I am saving my Yukon Gold's for tomorrow's beef stew ;) However, I was wondering how many small red potatoes do I need to cook for two people? Any ideas?
